Advanced users only The pictures are wonderful. The patterns are interesting and unique. Unfortunately, the patterns are unclear and difficult. As an advanced crocheter, i am able to figure out what the patterns should be but they were unclear and hard to follow. I would not recommend this book for a beginner or even an intermediate user. The count is wrong, instructions are missing, and in some cases the instructions are unclear.I love the presentation but the content falls short unfortunately…
Warning It’s a good thing they give really clear sample swatches, because there are a number of patterns in this book that simply will not work out correctly if you follow the written instructions exactly. I would NOT recommend this book for beginners. If you are a beginner and you have purchased this book do not assume that you are at fault. Examine the photographed swatch carefully, and see if you can work out what to do. I was pretty disappointed. Darla Sims is one of my favorite crochet…
Perfect for when you want something simple I’ve always been curious on how long projects take. This book will tell you exactly how long it will take to crochet a scarf or a blanket. These stitches are simple and cute. Not too simple that you get bored. I would say there is really only one that is extremely simple (p.78), the rest are still pretty intricate (not just sc or dc over and over again).I have other crochet pattern books but alas they are not colored.
