A must-have for anyone who crochets. I was a little hesitant to purchase this book because the price seemed a little steep, but I’m beyond happy that I did. As with most crochet books, it begins with the basics — information about the necessary items (hooks, varns, etc.) and a description of how to start a chain and do basic stitches (pictures are included which will be very helpful for people new to the craft). Good for ideas & stitch identification The Crochet Stitch Bible provides examples and basics for making 200+ stitches. In addition, there are instructions for a few briefly-described crochet techniques included in the first part of the book though nothing in-depth for the absolute beginner. It is helpful for identifying stitches I’ve seen and don’t know the name of or that I want to try when creating my own projects.
