Not all sizes as advertised I was all excited about these hooks to replace some damaged ones and finish out my steel set. Imagine my disappointment when three of them were not the sizes posted! The D, I, and J hooks aren’t the standard sizes listed in the description, they’re all a bit smaller. D is 3.125mm (should be 3.25), I is 5.25mm (should be 5.50), and J is 5.75mm (should be 6.00). What makes this extra disappointing is that I vent my old D hook too badly to be usable but needed it for a project on a deadline. I’ve…
Listen to the bad reviews!!! These hooks are terrible, at least 1/3 of them are crooked. The hook heads are pointed to either the left or right, which makes your yarn or thread constantly slip off the hook. It seems like Boye would have a lot better quality control. I should have sent them back, but I urgently need one hook that wasn’t available locally. Luckily, that hook wasn’t crooked. The overall price was excellent and I wasn’t too bothered by the cheap case.
Nice hooks for a beginner I didn’t buy these hooks thinking they’d be amazing, comfortable, and easy on the hands. They’re metal and fairly small – smaller than a pencil.
