The shortest distance between a skein of yarn and creative happiness is — a row of waves. Or chevrons. Or ripples. That’s because any one of these 154 stitch patterns will bring you hours of relaxation as you crochet afghans, bedspreads, dishcloths, placemats — whatever pleases you most. You choose the yarn weight and size of crochet hook, so there s no limit to the textures you’ll create. We used worsted weight yarn and a size H hook to create the photo models, but you may decide to use lightweight yarns for baby blankets and table runners. Chunky yarns work well for rugs or potholders. Or try novelty yarns to crochet one-of-a-kind scarves. Darla Sims is also the designer of 280 Crochet Shell Patterns (#3903).

unglued Received the book quickly after ordering. The pictures and instructions are very good for me. But on the third try of looking through the book, the pages want to come apart at the bottom. This book will get much use but it’s not going to hold together long. Seems the binding wasn’t glued enough. Just going to use looks of clamps. I recommend the book for any one that’s into chevron and waves. I will have lots of fun creating new projects.
