I had hoped for better instruction on basic stitches Disappointing. I had hoped for better instruction on basic stitches. The written piece is clear enough but the pictures provided don’t line up with the written portions, often being on a different page. Also disappointing are the patterns which focus on those that look like knitting. As a knitter if i want that look, I’ll knit something. The Tunisian crochet has a unique and beautiful look, and it would have been nice to have some beginner patterns that showcase that.
A fantastic addition for any one just starting with Tunisian crochet. While I have only been crocheting for several years now, from the start I found and fell in love with Tunisian/Afghan crochet. Kim Guzman’s book is one that should be at least looked at for those just starting to familiarize themselves with the style and the projects she includes are both easily understood/followed and can make for great gifts to family/friends. Great for tunisian beginners! I actually started a tunisian pattern in a different book, but the instructions were not very clear. I ended up using the instructions in this book to help me on my first tunisian pattern and the instructions in this book are very clear and easy to understand.
