Small booklet, but big on style and variety … This is a very nice collection of doily patterns by some of the “big names”: Delsie Rhoades, Dot Drake, Patricia Kristoffersen, Lucille LaFlamme, C. Strohmeyer. The patterns feature the “pineapple” design, an old favorite due to its ease to create and ability to fit into a lot of different decorating styles.It’s a small book, about 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ and 34 pages. Lovely patterns I purchased this book for one particular pattern I had been wanting. The price was worth the one pattern alone, but I was pleased to get the other patterns as well. They are lovely, intricate and the patterns are well written and easy to follow. The photos of the finished doilies are very clear and of good quality. I’m very visual so it helps me to have good photographs of patterns. It would have been nice to have schematics of the patterns, as I find those easier to follow, but the written…
Pineapple Doilies This is one of my favorite doilies. I made a pineapple topper for my kitchen table and I am planning on making another later to go under it. I have always had good results with the Leisure Arts books and have been using them since 1960’s. The instructions are written so you can clearly follow them whether you are a beginner or advanced crocheter.
