Bring the great outdoors inside with a crocheted afghan. Wildlife Cable Afghans from Leisure Arts presents four crochet patterns inspired by the great outdoors and its inhabitants. Crochet an animal center panel from the easy-to-follow chart; then, add side panels and corner squares (there are four designs for each from which to choose) to complete the throw. Mix and match the centers, side panels, and corner squares for almost unlimited looks. Each is crocheted using Intermediate skill level techniques, medium weight yarn, and sizes H (5mm) and I (5.5mm) crochet hooks. Designs include Bear, Wolf, Moose, and Deer. The afghan finished size is 35.5 x 44.75.

Be an experienced crocheter who reads patterns. Graph picture is small. Instructions are hard and I would not recommend to a new or not very experienced crocheter. I consider myself an intermediate crocheter and had to really study the instructions and even went to you tube videos to help understand instructions.

Lots of mistakes!!! The designs are all gorgeous but whoever tested/edited these patterns did a terrible job. I’m experienced in crocheting and reading patterns but could not for the life of me figure them out. Even the instructions for picking color quantities is wrong Bc the colors are swapped. Sloppy job. I successfully finished one blanket but will likely not attempt another due to the poor written pattern. I’d have to think too hard to make the corrections again. If the patterns made sense and the mistakes…

Harder than expected. I made the moose Afghan, Although I have crocheted for over forty years, I had a hard time understanding some of the instructions. I think on page 14 round 7 sc should be hdc. The border made the afghan very heavy. I did panel one. I did like the graph patterns for the animals.
