My favorite of my entire stitch guide collection for its range of styles In a later paragraph, I will talk about why I rank this as my favorite of all the stitch guides I’ve collected over more than 30 years, roughly 50. But first, I want to distinguish between what it is and what it is not.First of all, I think some people are confused on what a stitch encyclopedia is; it is NOT a how-to book, but a reference book. Every bicycle does not come with training wheels, nor every math book start with learning how to count. You buy books on how to crochet…
Great book, although abbreviations can be hard to follow if not used to them I purchased this as a gift for someone who enjoys crocheting. I haven’t done much crocheting myself, but I do enjoy knitting so I have a basic understating about some of the similarities (differences in stitches, following stitch instructions, etc.).Browsing through the book, I really like that color photos are included of the various stitches. It really gives you a good idea of what the stitch will look like, even more so than if the photos were in black and white…
Beautiful book and in Great shape! The book looked new, no Pages bent, no writing in the book & the cover was in nice shape. And the price was even better. I would consider myself an intermediate crocheter. I have crocheted all kinds of items and afghans and would consider this a great book for any beginners and Beyond as it is a good resource book. It has good illustrations & pictures and shows not just stitches but also borders to finish your projects beautifully.
