Historical Crochet for the Modern Crocheter Admittedly, I am biased because I wrote the novel that inspired Laurinda to make these patterns. But even that sentence isn’t quite true–we worked together as the novel formed to create the patterns. I suggested period clothing and accessories to her that I found during my research to add into the story and then watched in wonder as she transformed them into something historical with a little nod to modernity. This one is a Keeper! Right up front, I will let you know that Laurinda is a friend of mine, and I’ve seen almost all of these in person (and the putting together of the book) since the start. That being said, I want everyone to know, Laurinda’s patterns are not only easy to follow, but the styles are classic yet fresh, and I can’t imagine anyone not adoring this book. The fact that these patterns were put together with CJ Reid’s book in mind just makes it even more fun. This will be a timeless book..get your now…
