Great for blanket borders! This is a really great tool. I had never used anything like it before, and I’m really pleased with how well it works. I’ve used it to edge 4-5 blankets already and the sturdy metal has held up well. No signs of dulling on the sharp end. It punches through fabric nicely even w/o machine stitching a guide border beforehand. I even used it on double thickness blankets (fleece and flannel) and it did the job. Really simple The piercing crochet hook worked beautifully and I have already completed two blankets for my grandson. I used the piercing needle to prepare the 1st. line on the blanket with a single stitch and 3 chain. This gives me a perfect 1/2 inch to later work my design. I switched to a size 6 to make a shell border on one blanket and a block border on the other. I’m on my third blanket which I will complete in the wave stitch. Love it!
